KINZAZA is a music/cinema duo from Montreal formed in 1998. The unit consists of Josephine (vocal) and Dimitri (guitar). Rooted in Cinema-folk, KINZAZA’s musical style often takes unexpected turns through electronic arrangements.

KINZAZA often start their songs by way of cinematic impulse; first by filming the idea, and then refining it sonically in a studio.

“We’re making cinema for the music –not music for the cinema”.

The couple was baptized in the name of KINZAZA, a sacred tree that stands between dimensions and contains the seeds for everything that is, and everything that will be.

For Dimitri and Josephine, KINZAZA, is a connector of the invisible (music) to the visible (cinema).
